The Metrix SA6350 High-Temperature Accelerometer is an ideal sensor for gas turbines and other high-temperature applications where surface temperatures can reach up to 325°C. It is designed to withstand these extreme conditions, with a setup that keeps the more sensitive charge amplifier/line driver at a safer distance of 3m or 5m, where temperatures are typically lower. - Temperature Tolerance:
- Sensing element: up to 325°C.
- Charge amplifier/line driver: up to 120°C.
- Design:
- The piezo-electric sensing element is directly mounted on the machinery, connected via an armored, integral cable to the amplifier located in a cooler area.
- The amplifier is then linked to field wiring through a 2-pin MIL-style connector or an optional shielded cable.
- Output and Frequency:
- Frequency response: 5 Hz to 10 kHz.
- Resonant frequency: 25 kHz.
- Output: 100 mV/g low-impedance signal, compatible with most vibration monitoring and signal conditioning systems.
- Mounting Options:
- Available with either a 3-hole or 4-hole flat base, making it compatible with many standard high-temperature sensor mounts.
For applications requiring a velocity output instead of acceleration, the Metrix 5485C High-Temperature Velocity Sensor is recommended.
