Introduction

The Rheonik RHM 02 Coriolis Mass Flow Sensor is a high-precision Coriolis mass flow measurement solution engineered for low-flow applications requiring exceptional accuracy, reliability, and operational robustness under extreme process conditions. Designed with a wide range of wetted material options, the sensor ensures full compatibility with aggressive, corrosive, and high-purity media across various industrial sectors, including chemical processing, oil & gas, and advanced manufacturing. Its compact design, combined with industry-leading pressure and temperature ratings, enables stable performance in demanding environments where conventional flow technologies are limited. The RHM 02 delivers highly accurate mass flow measurement with excellent repeatability, making it ideal for critical dosing, metering, and process control applications where precision is essential.

  • Flow Range: 0.01 kg/min up to 2.7 kg/min for ultra-low flow measurement applications
  • Maximum Pressure Rating: up to 1436 bar (20,827 psi) for high-pressure process environments
  • Operating Temperature Range: -196°C (-321°F) up to +210°C (+410°F) for extreme thermal conditions
  • Measurement Accuracy: ±0.1% of rate, ensuring high precision and repeatability
  • Wetted Materials: SS 316L / SS 316Ti, Super Duplex (1.4410), Alloy C22 (2.4602) for superior corrosion resistance
  • Process Connections: Available from ¼” up to 1″ to suit a wide range of installation requirements

Pressure Drop

CSM Rheonik diagram

At Qnom, the pressure drop across a parallel tube sensor will be approximately 1-3 bar (15-44 psi) for H2O. Sensors can be operated at higher flow rates, but the pressure drop will be higher. Qmin is the recommended lowest flow rate. Sensors will measure flow rates lower than Qmin, but uncertainty will increase beyond 0.5 % of the rate.

The flow specifications above relate to standard pressure, parallel tube, and manifold sensor versions. Models with higher pressure ratings have increased wall thickness and will have higher pressure drops.
