Introduction

The Rheonik RHM 160 Coriolis Mass Flow Sensor is a high-capacity, high-performance Coriolis mass flow sensor engineered for demanding cargo transfer and pipeline applications where accuracy, reliability, and operational efficiency are critical. Designed to handle extremely high flow rates with exceptional measurement stability, the RHM 160 combines precision mass flow and density measurement with a low-pressure drop profile, making it ideal for bulk fluid transfer operations in oil & gas, chemical processing, and energy industries. Its robust construction and advanced sensor design ensure consistent performance under extreme process conditions, including cryogenic temperatures and high-pressure environments. With superior accuracy and material flexibility, the RHM 160 enables operators to achieve precise custody transfer, optimize process control, and maintain confidence in high-volume fluid handling operations.

* At Qnom, the pressure drop will be approximately 1 bar (14 psi) for H2O. Sensors can be operated at higher flow rates but the pressure drop will be higher. The maximum recommended velocity (liquid) through the sensor is 15 m/s. Beyond this point, cavitation may occur. Qmin is the recommended lowest flow rate. Sensors will measure flow rates lower than Qmin, but uncertainty may increase beyond 0.5% of the rate.

These flow rate and pressure drop statements relate to standard pressure tube sensor versions. Models with higher pressure ratings have increased wall thickness and will have higher pressure drops and lower Qnom values.
