Introduction
The Rheonik RHM 20 Coriolis Mass Flow Sensor is a high-performance 2-inch Coriolis mass flow meter engineered for precise and reliable general-purpose flow measurement across a wide range of industrial applications. Designed with a maintenance-free architecture, the RHM 20 integrates advanced sensor technology and robust mechanical construction to ensure long-term operational stability, even under extreme process conditions. Its superior accuracy and repeatability enable consistent measurement of mass flow, density, and temperature, outperforming conventional flow technologies while maintaining a low total cost of ownership. The sensor is optimized for high-pressure and high-temperature environments, offering exceptional resistance to mechanical stress, corrosion, and aggressive media through a selection of high-grade wetted materials. With flexible process connection options and a wide operating envelope, the RHM 20 is ideally suited for demanding industries such as oil & gas, chemical processing, energy, and industrial manufacturing, where precision, durability, and reliability are critical.

Pressure Drop

At Qnom, the pressure drop across a parallel tube sensor will be approximately 1 bar (14 psi) for H2O. Sensors can be operated at higher flow rates up to Qmax, but the pressure drop will be higher. Typical Minimum Flow Qmin is the recommended lowest flow rate for an accurate measurement. Sensors will measure flow rates lower than Qmin, but uncertainty will increase beyond 1% of the rate.
The flow rate specifications above relate to standard pressure, parallel tube, and manifold sensor versions. Models with higher pressure ratings have increased wall thickness and will have higher pressure drops.
